TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico: Hurricane Irma Update

Hurricane Irma Update

TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico has been actively preparing for and responding to Hurricane Irma since late last week. As of this afternoon, we can report the following:

San Juan Operations

  • TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico’s San Juan office is open and fully staffed as of today.
  • Internet and phone systems in San Juan are fully operational.
  • The San Juan terminal is able to conduct discharge operations upon the arrival of the Isla Bella.

Jacksonville Preparations

As Hurricane Irma prepares to make landfall in Florida, TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico and TOTE Services have taken proactive steps to coordinate with local agencies including the US Coast Guard, Port Authorities and local emergency agencies.

We have also worked with clients to ensure replenishment/recovery products will be in place for citizens of Puerto Rico and Jacksonville as needed.

Finally and most importantly, all TOTE employees are being given time to ensure they have the proper preparations in place as Northeast Florida prepares for the storm.

The Jacksonville terminal and corporate offices will be closed Monday, September 11, 2017.
