We are continuing to monitor the prices we pay for our bunker fuel.  As a result we will be adjusting our bunker fuel charge as follows based on date of vessel departure:

Inland Fuel Surcharge Effective February 17, 2019

 

As of Monday (2/4/2019), the West Coast (PADD5) Diesel Fuel Price as published by the U.S. Dept. of Energy is $3.435 per gallon (please refer the following link: (https://www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/).

This price level corresponds with an inland/arbitrary fuel surcharge of 28.0% as published in tariff STB TOTE 101-A and TOCT 402-A per Item 346.

Therefore, effective February 17, 2019 the inland/arbitrary fuel surcharge Item 346 shall be reduced to 28.0%.

Please note: the ocean fuel surcharge will remain as published in TOTE Maritime Alaska tariffs under Item 345.

TOTE Maritime Names Alex Hofeling New Vice President and General Manager in Alaska

TOTE Maritime Names Alex Hofeling New Vice President and General Manager in Alaska

Anchorage, AK – Alex Hofeling has been selected as the next Vice President and General Manager for TOTE Maritime’s Alaska office and operations. In this role, Hofeling will oversee both the Anchorage and Fairbanks offices.

Hofeling has been with TOTE Maritime since September 2013. He began his time with TOTE as a Regional Sales Manager and was promoted to Director of Marketing in 2016. Over the last five years, Hofeling has played an instrumental role in TOTE Maritime’s success in Alaska. Before TOTE, Hofeling worked for Coastal Transportation and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

In his role as Vice President and General Manager, Hofeling will be the face of TOTE in the state of Alaska, work closely with the Port, labor partners, customers and community partners to ensure that TOTE continues to offer reliable, best in class service to the Last Frontier state.

Hofeling will succeed Grace Greene who was promoted to President of TOTE Maritime Alaska in August 2018. He will assume the role on January 1 and will relocate to Anchorage with his family over the coming months.

TOTE Maritime Alaska Midnight Sun 16017 Update

To all TOTE Maritime Alaska Valued Customers,

The Midnight Sun Voyage 16017 is loading Saturday February 6.  Cargo cut offs for V16017 remain in effect on Friday February 5.  The scheduled work start for V16017 in Anchorage is Tuesday February 9 at 1700.  The Anchorage terminal will be open for normal operations from 0800-1700 on Tuesday, February 5 and then reopen the trailer gate from 1900-2330.  All cargo cut offs for southbound voyage 16018 will remain in effect.
