Dear TOTE Maritime Alaska Customers,
TOTE Maritime Alaska has filed a General Rate Increase (GRI) of 5.75% to be effective Sunday, November 9, 2025. This rate action was filed with the United States Surface Transportation Board in Washington, D.C. The GRI filing applies to STB TOTE tariffs 101-A, 202-B, 501-A, and 601-A. This filing does not apply to STB TOTE 701-A, household goods. Other exceptions apply.

- Dry Cargo: increasing $48 to $316 per booking
- Refrigerated Cargo: increasing $54 to $347 per booking

- Dry Cargo: increasing $22 to $94 per booking
- Refrigerated Cargo: increasing $22 to $128 per booking

Item 760, Port Charge, effective 11/9/2025

- Ladings less than 40 feet in length: increasing $30 to $547 per booking
- Ladings 40 feet but less than 48 feet in length: increasing $37 to $669 per booking
- Ladings 48 feet and longer: increasing $43 to $790 per booking
- Vehicles, Roll-On/Off Cargo: increasing $14 to $250 per booking
Hacia el sur
- All trailer/container/flatbed lengths: increasing $19 to $337 per booking
- Vehicles, Roll-On/Off Cargo: increasing $11 to $188 per booking
Item 540, Hazardous Materials, effective 11/9/2025
- Hazardous Materials: increasing $25 to $250 per booking
- Limited Quantity Hazardous Materials: shipments containing hazardous materials prepared under the Limited Quantity provisions as defined in 49 CFR 173.156 and 172.315 will be assessed a charge of $100 per booking
Items 340 and 341, Arbitraries in the Lower-48 States, effective 1/1/2026
- All origins and destinations will increase by 6% unless further exception is taken (please refer to STB TOTE Tariff 101-A)
Item 342, Arbitraries in Alaska, effective 1/1/2026
- All origins and destinations will increase by 8% unless further exception is taken (please refer to STB TOTE Tariff 101-A)
Item 695, Port of AK Modernization Surcharge, effective 1/1/2026

- Northbound: increasing $48 to $127 per booking
- Southbound: increasing $49 to $89 per booking

- Northbound: increasing $25 to $54 per booking
- Southbound: increasing $12 to $41 per booking

Cargo as described in Item 2685 of Tariff 601-A
- Northbound: increasing $3.25 per ton to $8.05 per ton
