Following last week’s notification from the Puerto Rico Ports Authority (PRPA) that the
cargo scanning requirement has been eliminated, TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico has removed
the associated cargo scanning fee from its tariff effective August 28, 2026.
The fee will no longer apply to cargo shipped on or after August 28. The Isla Bella sailing
5553S is the first TOTE sailing for which the fee will not apply.
In accordance with the PRPA’s effective date, the fee remains applicable to cargo shipped
prior to August 28, including the August 25 Perla del Caribe sailing, and cannot be removed
retroactively.
