With over 25 years of experience in the logistics and transportation industry, Mark Lydell brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as Director of Service Excellence. Lydell focuses on driving the success of our overall customer experience by implementing a strategic vision, optimizing financial performance, and fostering sustainable growth. The effectiveness of our customer experience is significantly influenced by our Service Excellence teams, which include the Customer Service, Invoicing, and Documentation & Rates departments. As the leader of the Service Excellence team, Mark plays a pivotal role in developing internal stakeholders and strengthening both commercial and operational relationships.
Mark joined TOTE Maritime Alaska in October 2019 as Director of Fleet & Inland before transitioning to his current role in 2023. Prior to joining us, he held various leadership positions across the logistics space including Director of Regional & Terminal Operations in the trucking industry and General Manager in the warehousing sector, bringing an extensive portfolio of skills and industry knowledge to the Tote team.
Mark earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University in 2001, where he played baseball all 4 years and captained the team his Senior season.
