ANCHORAGE, Alaska – May 22, 2026 – TOTE Maritime Alaska announced a $65,000 grant to Gamers Sports Alaska to support additional upgrades to the organization’s east Anchorage youth sports facility.
The investment will help expand opportunities for youth athletes in Northeast Anchorage by supporting improvements to the facility, which provides indoor training space and programming for local kids and families year-round. Founded by former professional baseball player Jamar Hill, Gamers Sports Alaska focuses on increasing access to sports, mentorship, and positive opportunities for youth in underserved communities.
Local media coverage has highlighted the organization’s work to remove barriers for young athletes in East Anchorage by creating safe, accessible spaces for baseball, softball, and other athletic programs, particularly in neighborhoods where indoor training options have historically been limited.
