Mike Noone | President, Puerto Rico

Michael Noone brings more than 30 years of experience in shipping and logistics to TOTE.  He joined the TOTE family of companies in 2013 with TOTE Maritime Alaska becoming president of TOTE Maritime Alaska in 2015. He assumed the role of President of TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico in 2018.  Prior to his time with TOTE,  Noone served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President for Yusen Logistics Americas (formerly NYK Logistics), where he was responsible for leading the strategic direction, execution and bottom line results for the company’s six business units.

Before his time at Yusen, Noone spent a total of 21 years with Maersk companies and five years with APL, part of the NOL Group.  During his most recent time with Maersk, he served as Vice President of the Eastern Region where he managed and led an integrated sales force for all ocean transportation and logistics services. He has also served as the Senior Vice President for Maersk Logistics leading multiple lines of business throughout the Americas. Noone also led APL Logistics throughout the Americas and served as VP/Managing Director for NOL, responsible for APL Liner activities throughout the 21 Eastern states.

A graduate in Business Administration from Wagner College, Noone has also received certifications from two of the nation’s top executive programs in Logistics; Smeal College of Business Administration at Penn State University and the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University.  He also holds certifications in Advance Management from INSEAD Fontainebleau, France, as well from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Strategic Planning and Implementation.

Noone recently served on the Board of the Tacoma-Pierce Country Chamber of Commerce. He has served as a Steering Committee Member for the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) from 2011-2013.  He has also served on the boards of NYK Group Americas and Hudd Distribution.

Noone lives in Jacksonville with his wife Alyssa.  They have two daughters both of whom live on the east coast.


Jim Wagstaff | VP Operations, Puerto Rico

Mr. Wagstaff joined TOTE Maritime in October 1998 as an Operations Supervisor in Jacksonville, Florida. From January 1999 to 2008, he held several leadership positions within the Maintenance & Repair and Terminal Management departments.

In March 2008, he was promoted to AVP Terminal Operations with companywide responsibilities for equipment, marine, and terminal functions. In July of 2011 he advanced to Vice President Operations when Inland Transport and Risk Management functions were added to his list of management duties. He’s been employed by TOTE Maritime for more than 15 years.

Wagstaff is Vice President of Operations at TOTE Maritime; he is currently leading the project management team preparing for the arrival of TOTE Shipholding’s two new LNG powered vessels. His responsibilities related to the project include terminal modernization in both Jacksonville and San Juan, designing and building innovative cargo and cargo handling equipment, aspects of the vessel design and LNG delivery systems, along with implementing a new Terminal Operating System.

He attended Florida State College, and has received Advanced Leadership and Management training from the University of North Florida, Columbia, and Harvard Business School.


Chris Willman | VP of Sales and Marketing, Puerto Rico

Chris Willman joined TOTE Maritime in March 2005 as an Inside Sales Account Executive in Jacksonville, Florida. Chris has been employed by TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico for more than 13 years and worked his way up through the commercial department.  In August 2006, Chris was promoted to Regional Sales Manager of the Midwest region, where he moved to Chicago, IL.  In the summer of 2011 he was promoted to Manager of NVO/FAK accounts and moved back to the corporate office in Jacksonville, FL.  In March of 2013 he was promoted to Regional Sales Manager.  In December of 2018 he advanced to Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

He holds a “Transportation Logistics” degree from University of North Florida.  Chris lives in St. Augustine, FL with his wife Breanna and their two boys.

 


Eduardo Pagan | VP & GM Caribbean Services, Puerto Rico

Eduardo Pagan joined TOTE Maritime in November of 2010 as the Vice President and General Manager of Caribbean Services. He brings more than 30 years of management consulting and transportation industry experience. Prior to joining TOTE Maritime, Pagan led his own consulting firm assisting organizations with Business Development and Strategic Planning. He played a pivotal role with the Puerto Rico Water Authority Revenue Optimization Program and both Private and Public Strategy. Pagan also worked at Unilever for 21 years in key roles including manufacturing, distribution, and international sales. He was deeply involved with Total Quality Management (TQM), Total Productivity Management (TPM), and Lean Manufacturing. In addition to the development and improvement of overall business practices, Pagan used these tools and skills to improve performance in areas such as operational productivity, safety, and environmental impact and led the Competitiveness Team and Strategy for the Puerto Rico Manufacturing Association

He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico and a master’s degree in Business Administration.

Pagan is also an active member of the following organizations: Puerto Rico Boys & Girls Club (Vice President), Puerto Rico Manufacturing Organization (International Team Group), Puerto Rico Shipping Association (Vice President), Puerto Rico American Maritime Partnership (President), and “Juntos por Puerto Rico” (3rd Sector Group).


Michael Nicholson | VP Pricing, Puerto Rico

Michael Nicholson joined TOTE Maritime in July of 2002 as a Pricing Director for the Caribbean focused on the US Virgin Islands and the Dominican Republic. He has worked directly in the maritime transportation industry since 1984.

Prior to joining TOTE Maritime, Nicholson completed the training program at US Lines in the spring of 1985. He held various pricing positions involving several International Markets: the Mideast and India with US Lines from 1984 to 1986; Europe, Asia and South America with Crowley from 1987 to 2000; and South America with Hamburg-Sud from 2000 to 2002, all before specializing in the Caribbean market with TOTE Maritime.

He holds a BS in Management and Labor Relations from Niagara University.


Karen Gaskill | VP Human Resources, Puerto Rico

Karen Gaskill joined TOTE Maritime in February of 2008 as a Manager of Learning and Development. She was then promoted to Director and ultimately Vice President of Human Resources. She brings 7 years of experience in the transportation industry and over 15 years of experience in Human Resources.

Prior to Joining TOTE Maritime, Gaskill served as a Senior Consultant at Capgemini focused on Customer Relationship Management. She oversaw Change Management training and implementation in over 20 Time Warner Cable Customer Service Centers from Los Angeles to Washington DC.

Gaskill holds a bachelor’s in education from Indiana State University and certification as a SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and a SHRM-SCP (SHRM Senior Certified Professional).

She supports public education by serving as the Chair of the School Advisory Council for J Allen Axson Montessori Elementary School and as the Secretary of the Duval County Schools Area Advisory Council. Gaskill lives in Jacksonville, FL with her husband Chris and their 2 children.

 


Chris May | VP Terminal Services, Puerto Rico

Chris May joined TOTE Maritime in December of 2017 as the Vice President Terminal Services.  He has over 26 years of stevedoring and marine terminal management experience and was previously the President of Portus Holdings, the stevedore and terminal operator for TOTE.  He was at Portus for ten years prior to coming to TOTE.

Prior to Portus, May worked at the ports of Los Angeles and Oakland; both for Marine Terminals Corp.  He spent a total of five years with MTC and was responsible for rolling out new technology and labor practices as it related to terminal automation at both locations.  Prior to those roles he was the Vice President of Operations for Oceanic Steamship, a stevedore at the Port of Miami.  He began his career working for Maher Terminals in 1992 as a ship superintendent.

May holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation from the US Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY.  He has lived in Jacksonville since 2007 with his wife - enjoying the beach life and supporting their 3 children.
